Peppertree's Helping Paws

Our special dogs need your help and we do too. Peppertree Rescue has incurred significant expenses caring for the dogs described below and for other special needs dogs. We are an all-volunteer rescue group with very limited income from donations and from adoption placements. Our expenses usually are much higher than our income and are especially significant at the present time.

Donations, of any amount, would be gratefully appreciated. Purchases from our Peppertree Cafe Press Store, iGive.com, Amazon, Dog Stuff, Adirondack Video, and Lia Sophia would also be appreciated. A percentage of each sale is contribruted to Peppertree.

The John Davis Fund for Seniors

Generously donated by Paige Davis in memory and honor of her late husband John Davis and their beloved Senior Rescue Dogs Bronco and Stallion.

Paige's Story

Bronco and Stallion were adopted by Paige and John in March of 1996. They came from a loving home whose owner needed to relocate. After trying unsuccessfully on their own to find a home for Bronco (then 14 years old) and Stallion (then 9 years old), she turned to rescue. She wanted Bronco and Stallion to remain together, as they had been the majority of their lives. Due to Bronco's advanced age and Stallion's limited use of his left front leg, they were difficult to place. Rescue found them a home with us and we could not have asked for more devoted and loving dogs. They became a part of our family and lived happily with us for many years. Bronco lived to be 18 years and Stallion 13 years. We felt blessed by their presence in our lives.

In memory of my husband, John, and Bronco and Stallion; the dogs he loved so much, I have established a fund for Senior dogs with Peppertree Rescue. My hope is that this fund will help older dogs that need and deserve a loving and caring home.

Donations to the John Davis Fund for Senior Dogs are gratefully accepted

Ian's Story - This is a story of thanks, hope and love, as well as of sadness.
