Comment: This is definitely long overdue! My partner and I adopted Joni, a 3 year old German Shorthaired Pointer in Sept 2011. What an amazing addition to the family! She is by far the friendliest most lovable dog I've encountered in awhile. Granted, she came from somewhat of a neglected home, we keep up with vet visits, feed her well and enjoy the endless amounts of energy she has. She recently received her Canine Good Citizen and we couldn't be happier. Peppertree is a wonderful organization and cares deeply about their animals. I would highly recommend considering adoption through them!

Comment: We adopted a DUO (dog of unknown origin) and we absolutely LOVE her! All my kids friends love her and our Golden has a playmate, which is what he needed after we lost our German Shepherd to old age. It is so cute to see them at night snuggled up together sleeping (after she's had cuddle time with us first of course) What a great little dog. Peppertree was such a positive experience I have referred quite a few people to them.

Comment: We just sent you and end-of-the year gift in honor of our dear Miss Elsa Magee. We absolutely ADORE HER! She has grown by leaps and bounds from the shy dog that she was. She's still mighty shy, but she's doing so very well, and we SO appreciate the fact that you brought her all the way up from Georgia to be our dear one. She totally SHIVERED that first winter, but now she adores the snow and adores the winter and adores her adoptive sister (Miss Pearly Girl from Help Orphan Puppies). Elsa is a 100% AWESOMELY wonderful girl, and we can't thank you enough!

So we are always checking to see if in some way we could help. Sophie is a true golden and loves all animals and lives with 3 cats ... strays of course ! We live in the Berkshires now heading south sometime this year to FL and wondering if there are rescues there like Peppertree ?

Comment: Yesterday I came acroos the photos of all the dog I fostered for Peppertree several years ago. I realized how much I miss helping Peppoertree. Currently I am caring for a aging parent and the one thing she has wanted all her life was a dog of her own, and it had to be a Golden Retriever puppy. We got Jake. My son went the next day and got Jake's sister. He is called to active duty frequently, and will be headed to Afghanistan again shortly. Currently I care for both dogs so I feel as if I am still volunteering. When the time comes, I will be back in contact with Peppertree to offer my help. I can't wait!

Comment: Just wanted to drop in and say thank you so much for Suzi (once known as Sue Storm). Three years ago I had the luxury of fostering, then adopting Suzi. I want you to know what a wonderful dog she has blossomed into. I cannot thank you enough for her; not only allowing her to be a part of my life, but more importantly for saving her life. So many rescues would have turned their back on Suzi. You gave her a chance. Due to no fault of her own, only the abuse and neglect she suffered, she was very shy, scared and seemingly an unadoptable dog. You saw through all that. You gave her a chance. Now she is my heart, as I am hers. Thank you Peppertree. Thank you not only for Suzi, but for all the lives you save, including my Mitzi and Hunter. We all thank you!

Comment: Just over a year ago, we adopted Gunnar from you. We were a little nervous about our 15 year old girl, Lady adjusting to having a new dog in the house. We also knew having lost other older dogs to Rainbow Bridge, that it was easier to have another dog in the house when the time came.
Unlike any of the other rescue's that we had looked into, Peppertree allowed us to see if our girl and Gunnar would get along.
Well, it wasn't perfect, but Gunnar the comedian certainly gave Lady a reason to keep watch on "her" house.
We lost her in her sleep, December 3rd, 2010 and not only we were depressed, so was Gunnar.
My husband and Gunnar are now best of friends, he is a wonderful additon to our family. We cannot thank you enough for Gunnar. We will continue to recommend Peppertree to everyone.

Comment: Scully, currently being fostered by Matt Heuston and Heidi Myers, has been a guest at our home for the last 14 days. We found him to be an absolutely great dog with no agressive tendencies. Unfortunately we are not able to have a dog ourselves as we spend part of the winter in Florida. We think he would make a great companion for the right person or persons. We hope that Peppertree will make every effort to find him the good home he deserves.

Comment: A year and a half ago my family adopted a dog named Hunter from Peppertree Rescue. I just wanted to check in with you to let you all know that Hunter could not have been a better fit for us! He is warm, lovable and just an all around fantastic dog! We don't tell him he's a dog though (let's just keep that our little secret! He thinks he is just another one of the kids!) Thanks for all you do to connect families and furry friends! We LOVE Hunter and are looking forward to many happy years with him.

Comment: Thank you Barb and Chris for giving Tundra the opportunity to choose us for her family! We are so happy with our choice to go through Peppertree. Tundra has made herself one of the family and every day she surprises us with how smart and sweet she is- VERY trainable with a great temperament. Not only do we have the basics down, but Tundra loves to play dead, walk on hind legs and flip bones off her nose into her mouth.Thank you too for your patience and advice throughout the trial placement- because of your dedication, we are now the proud owners of one of your \"girls\". You are definitely an asset to Peppertree!

Comment: I adopted a little pocket beagel at the clinic on Jan. 16. What a sweet and loving girl she is. The whole process from your fabulous website, communication, and clinic were so professional. I needed help with housebreaking and the volunteers rallied with helpful advice--we accomplished it in three weeks. I have renamed her Pepper in honor of the good folks who do so much for our doggie companions. It was great to see you at Mexican Radio.

Comment: I adopted my Maggie (originally Carrie; golden retriever/spaniel mix) about 3 months ago. She started out with a lot of quirks, but has adjusted nicely to our lifestyle and our pack. I was living in Albany when I adopted her, but am originally from Rochester, NY. My father had a massive stroke on January 3rd and is still hospitalized. I decided to move back home to help my mom and family, and Maggie of course came along for the journey. She has adjusted well to life in Rochester, and has even become best buds with our 14 year old sheltie, Buster. We say that she is his apprentice.
She is the most wonderful dog, I never could have hoped to adopt a more loving, loyal and trustworthy dog. She is a good listener, a good cuddler, and I am thankful everyday that I was so lucky to have found her. Thank you Peppertree for bringing Maggie and I together!

Comment: Being from Toronto, Ont. I know that I couldn't adopt one of your dogs, but I really do appreciate all that you,re staff at Peppertree are doing to help secure loving homes for these wayward little souls. I have two large mixed mutts myself that are in their twilight years at 15 y.o. I know that I will soon have to face the realization that they will be just warm memories in my heart, but it makes me feel great to know that there are organizations such as yours that give up many hours volunteering to help find homes for dogs that are forgotten, lost, abused and just had tragedies befall them that they had no control over. Thank you kindly for all that you do for these lost souls.

Tango, Rocky and Precious were my babies I rescued since they were pups and now I know they have found good homes.
