Comment: We are very happy with Zor, our beautiful Belgian Shepherd. We picked him up on April 11th. We love him and plan on giving him a great life. Barbara, who fostered him, is wonderful and caring. We enjoyed meeting and working with her towards the adoption of Zor. Zor fit right into our family with our 7 year old mix, Maggie, and our two cats, Boots and Buddy, who are 4. Thank you Peppertree and Barbara for our wonderful dog, Zor...we're about to change his name to Corey.... and he is adjusting beautifully. Vina Byrne

Comment: I adopted a little pocket beagel at the clinic on Jan. 16. What a sweet and loving girl she is. The whole process from your fabulous website, communication, and clinic were so professional. I needed help with housebreaking and the volunteers rallied with helpful advice--we accomplished it in three weeks. I have renamed her Pepper in honor of the good folks who do so much for our doggie companions. It was great to see you at Mexican Radio.

Comment: I adopted my Maggie (originally Carrie; golden retriever/spaniel mix) about 3 months ago. She started out with a lot of quirks, but has adjusted nicely to our lifestyle and our pack. I was living in Albany when I adopted her, but am originally from Rochester, NY. My father had a massive stroke on January 3rd and is still hospitalized. I decided to move back home to help my mom and family, and Maggie of course came along for the journey. She has adjusted well to life in Rochester, and has even become best buds with our 14 year old sheltie, Buster. We say that she is his apprentice. She is the most wonderful dog, I never could have hoped to adopt a more loving, loyal and trustworthy dog. She is a good listener, a good cuddler, and I am thankful everyday that I was so lucky to have found her. Thank you Peppertree for bringing Maggie and I together!

Comment: It was wonderful to meet you guys at PetSmart today...me, Moe (and his GOOGIE) had a fabulous time and his picture w/Santa came out great. Thank you!!!

Comment: my family adopted Cocoa from Peppertree 8 years ago....and we couldn\'t imagine our family without her!! Our other dog, Kuma, is 12 years old and coping with diabetes and blindness. Cocoa continues to be Kuma\'s best friend and they share a snuggle every day in the sunbeam that comes in through the door to the porch.

Comment: God Bless you! You have nothing but the utmost respect and admoration from us. We are ABSOLUTE animal lovers and we appreciate good souls like yourselves. Hopefully one day in the near future we can help you out by fostering or adoption. Please keep up the good work, and we were glad to hear there is an organization that is willing to take on the less than perfect of our four legged friends.

Added By: Peter hadcock on 2009/08/08 at 09:08:46.

Comment: I adopted Timothy (Timmy) 10 years ago from Peppertree. Although he has slowed down a lot due to knee and back problems, he is still a very happy dog and enjoys his daily walks with B-bop (our other dog) as well as car rides.

Added By: Peggy Cook on 2009/07/26 at 03:07:36.

Comment: We adopted our dog Scooby (shepard/husky mix) from Peppertree over 10 years ago. Thank you for allowing us to adopt Scooby. Although he is now about 14 years old, he's still the master of tennis ball and frisbee play. Although our sons now attend far away colleges, Scooby remains our constant companion!

Added By: Kelly on 2009/07/14 at 15:07:24.

Comment: I think this is a great organization. My husband and I have a dog on trial placement right now, and the whole process (from reading the website, to emailing volunteers, to attending and adopting at the clinic) was so smooth for us. You have a great group here and we are very happy with our new 4-legged friend.

Added By: Sherrie Gepfert on 2009/07/06 at 12:07:31.

Comment: I want to thank all of you at Peppertree Rescue. The love and caring that you give your dogs shines thru. I adopted my first Peppertree dog last year and just adopted another one this month. They are both wonderful and seem very happy with each other and the whole situation. You wonder what these poor dogs have gone thru until they finally got to your loving hands. Thanks for everthing.

Comment: thank you so much for adopting some dogs from the Scooby shelter in Spain ( www.scoobymedina.org )

Added By: meryl weiss on 2009/06/04 at 15:06:15.

Comment: More people should adopt and some people should never be allowed to have any animls. Puppy mills should be against the law. Keep up the good work.

Added By: Kathy Ferragu on 2009/04/04 at 00:04:05.

Comment: You have a great website! We\\\'re interested in Golden dogs....but all your info was very informative and well written. Keep up the great work!

Added By: Rob and Laura on 2008/11/19 at 12:11:10.

Comment: We adopted "Eclipse" at Peppertree over 8 years ago and the experience has been incredibly rewarding. She has come so far since Peppertree rescued her and gave her a chance. She lives happily in the Boston area with 2 children and has thrived on TLC and consistency. Thank you for everything you do!

Added By: Rosemary DeRusso on 2008/09/17 at 20:09:12.

Comment: Peppertree is near and dear to the DeRusso family. Our Daisy was adopted 1/07 and we are just as thrilled w/her as the first day we took her home. Peppertree is a terrific organization and I can not wait to fulfill a promise to (you know who) become a foster parent once I'm retired....4 years and counting! Thank you Peppertree for Daisy and for being a wonderful rescue organization that truly cares. Our three four-legged girls also thank you

Added By: LA on 2008/08/08 at 22:08:53.

Comment: Thank you Peppertree for your support and guidance while we made the difficult but best decision for Hootie. A special thanks to Kathy & Kevin.

Added By: Peggy Cook on 2008/07/08 at 00:07:40.

Comment: Our family adopted a dog through Peppertree in 6/2007. Scooby was our families first pet. This shepard/husky mix has brought our family more joy than we could ever express. Although we are all getting older, Scooby can leap for a ball or frisbee with the best of them. Thank you to every volunteer that makes Peppertree succeed.

Added By: nancy thomas on 2008/05/13 at 14:05:27.

Comment: I was very impressed, after searching other adoption sites, that you state the good and the not so good. I am very interested in adopting a younger female dog after putting my older one down just yesterday. (One of the hardest things I have ever had to do....) My 8 year old female is sooo sad and is missing her "brother" like crazy. Please feel free to send me information. Thank You.

Added By: John Sheppard on 2008/04/30 at 08:04:23.

Comment: I was reading a story on the New Beginnings page and I think Linus, owned by Caroline Sharkey, is my dog Chester\'s brother. We got Chess around the same time in Saratoga from a foster home chock full of puppies. He\'s a great dog, from a great family. I\'m sure Linus is charming fellow.

Added By: Sarah on 2008/03/23 at 13:03:47.

Comment: I'm a kennel technician at SVH and was taking care of Brodie. The first time I saw him I fell in love with him completely! If we didn't already have two dogs and a bird I would love to become foster parent or adopt him. It breaks my heart that he isn't in a loving home and I hope he finds one soon.

Added By: Kevin Mersereau on 2007/12/19 at 12:12:04.

Comment: Being from Toronto, Ont. I know that I couldn't adopt one of your dogs, but I really do appreciate all that you,re staff at Peppertree are doing to help secure loving homes for these wayward little souls. I have two large mixed mutts myself that are in their twilight years at 15 y.o. I know that I will soon have to face the realization that they will be just warm memories in my heart, but it makes me feel great to know that there are organizations such as yours that give up many hours volunteering to help find homes for dogs that are forgotten, lost, abused and just had tragedies befall them that they had no control over. Thank you kindly for all that you do for these lost souls.

Comment: I am very impressed by your approach to rescue and adoption of very worthy dogs. I am looking to adopt and will fill out and application. I hope that I will be led to the right match. As a dog owner for most of my life I know that you can\\\'t make it happen you just leave yourself open to the hand of providence. Keep up the good work.........BMcD

Comment: Just a quick thank you to Kathy S. and the fine folks at Peppertree. Moose, a big yellow Lab mix with an even bigger heart, adopted me and my chocolate Lab, Piper, just before Christmas 2006. When I catch up with technology I will send a photo! Moose is very smart and teaching us new tricks every day. Piper was always afraid of the stairs but finally took Moose's lead today after lots of coaxing (incessant barking!) by Moose. He is just a joy to be around. Thank you all.

Comment: I want to thank Peppertree and all involved in assisting me in placing three of my many rescues. I'm from Georgia and have medical problems. Tango, Rocky and Precious were my babies I rescued since they were pups and now I know they have found good homes. I miss them but I know they are in a home that they can get the individual/proper attention they so well deserve. You are a wonderful organization and thank you. P.S. It was nice to see Tango with his new family in the alumni picnic-2006 pictures, I hope you enjoy him as well as the other new daddy/mommy's.
