Join us on Saturday, April 14, 2012 for Peppertree Rescue's 5th Annual Furry Fun Run at the Warming Hut at Saratoga Springs' Avenue of the Pines! Runners and walkers with two legs or four (or three!) are welcome! Registration will start at 8 a.m. and the race will begin at 9 a.m. The race will benefit Peppertree Rescue, a rescue for dogs of good temperament. This year we will offer the chance to warm up with some yoga, as well as other fun things! Click here to register. Click here to get our fundraising form!
Hooded sweatshirts will be awarded to the fastest male runner, the fastest female runner, and the fastest runner with dog, as well as the top two fundraisers. Trophies will be awarded to the top three in all categories. Pre-registrants will receive a goody bag including a t-shirt while supplies last.
The rules are as follow:
The registration fee is $25 per person for pre- registers, $30 for day of registration.
The registration fee is waived if you have more than $100 in pledges. Pre-registration fees will be refunded the day of the race.
There is a maximum of two dogs per person, please leave aggressive dogs at home.
We reserve the right to turn away dogs (or people) who cannot get along with others.
Dogs must be up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations.
You must control your dog at all times, no retractable leashes or leashes over 6 feet.
Please pick up after your dog.
If a runner/walker is under 18 they must be accompanied by an adult and have a parent/guardian sign the waiver.
In addition to the Furry Fun Run for adults, once again the Doggy Dash returns! This kid-friendly sprint will take place at 8:30am, and registration is prior to the race for a $5 fee. However, fundraising is allowed and encouraged, and there will be a prize for the top fundraiser as well as the fastest child in each age group.
