Who's Your Daddy?

Everyone loves a good guessing game, and here at Peppertree Rescue we are constantly trying to figure out what breeds our lovable mixed breed dogs are made of. Thanks to modern day technology and the fine folks at Canine Heritage we no longer have to wonder if our guesses are right! You may have already heard of breed testing kits, simply swab the mystery mutt’s mouth to gather a DNA sample, mail it into the company and they send you back the results. No we are not going to do this for every mystery mutt that comes through our program, but we thought we would pick a tough case to put this kit to the test, and give you a chance to test your breed guessing ability, all the while raising money for our fine rescue.

Here’s how it works:

Meet Pippin (he is not a wizard as far as we know), he is a super shy mixed breed currently available for adoption. He came to Peppertree with his two brothers Seamus and Gryffindor. Our fantastic photographer Sam took all of these pictures to try to help you guess breeds he’s made from.

Each guess costs $10.00 and you pay right here on the web with paypal. There are 100 possible breed matches for the test, to see what all of your choices are go to Canine Heritage Just list the breeds you think the dog is made of, no need to include fractions or percentages with each breed, that’s not how the test works.

For $20.00 you get a guess and you can send us a picture of your mystery mutt to add to the contest page, please include your pet’s name.

The contest will run from July 13th through August 23rd. In early September we will take all winning guesses and draw a winner at random. The prize is your own canine heritage test kit!
